HOW LONG HAS CARE CONNECTION, INC. BEEN PROVIDING COMPANION SERVICES AND HAS IT ALWAYS BEEN OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON? 

Care Connection was founded in 1998 by Dr. Richard W. Scher to focus on the non-medical, safety and emotional concerns of the geriatric population, those physically disabled or those recovering from an illness or injury. Dr. Scher remains the owner and Executive Director.

WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO WE PROVIDE?

Our companions provide non-medical or practical assistance to our clients including meal preparation, shopping, laundry, light housekeeping, drives to Dr.’s appointments and medication reminders. Our companions become a friend to their client offering them social support, conversation and mental stimulation.

WHAT ARE CARE CONNECTION’S SERVICE AREAS?

Care Connection services all of Long Island and the Metropolitan New York area including Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Manhattan.

HOW DOES CARE CONNECTION SCREEN OUR COMPANIONS?

Care Connection draws from a wide pool of skilled and experienced companions. They are carefully screened by a reputable investigative agency, and qualifications verified by at least 2 references. Ultimately they re hired based upon their sensitivity and knowledge as caregivers.

HOW QUICKLY CAN SERVICES BE PROVIDED?

Although it does take time to match the right companion with a client, Care Connection can typically place a companion the same day a client calls our office for services.

ONCE SERVICES HAVE COMMENCED, CAN I CHANGE MY ORIGINAL SCHEDULE?

Yes, Care Connection will accommodate any schedule change a client requests. 

CAN I REQUEST A DIFFERENT COMPANION?

Yes, Care Connection prides itself in matching just the right companion with a client. If, for whatever reason, a client requests a different companion, a change will be made in a timely fashion.

IS CARE CONNECTION, INC. INSURED? 

Yes, Care Connection, Inc. is insured and our companions are bonded.

HOW MUCH DO OUR SERVICES COST?
