Care Connection specializes in offering non-medical help with day to day tasks in a sensitive and concerned way. Matching and connecting the right caregiver to you or your family member is what we do best.

Care Connection draws from a wide pool of skilled and experienced companions.  Many come to us through reputable referral sources and may have extensive training and certification as home health aides, personal care aides or nursing assistants. Because a large number of our companions drive, they can easily get to individuals in all areas of Long Island and NYC.

You can feel safe and secure with our companions.  They undergo a thorough screening process that includes two recent employment references. We also access current health records.

Companions are briefed about the health, dietary needs, interests and hobbies of each client so they can encourage the client to heal properly giving the family peace of mind. If the companion observes a change in the health status or a medical emergency arises, they follow the specific guidelines set by Care Connection.

Dr. Richard Scher founded Care Connection to focus on the non-medical, safety and emotional concerns of the geriatric population.  Having treated seniors for over 25 years, as a chiropractor, he realized that so many require practical assistance or just need a helping hand to feel safe and secure.

The company’s administrator holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Gerontology and extensive experience in nursing homes and home care. Our experienced coordinators enjoy helping others.  Because we take great care of our companions and make sure the case works for them, the result is better care for you.  By conducting in depth interviews with the client and family, we will listen and respond to your needs to make the appropriate match. 

If for some reason, the client desires a different companion, Care Connection maintains flexibility and will make the change promptly until the client is satisfied.

Because we are a small company, Care Connection can give you the personal attention you deserve.

Fees: Our fees are affordable and may be covered by long term care insurance, worker’s compensation and no fault insurance.  Call our staff at (516) 409-0006 to discuss the company’s hourly, daily and weekly rates.
